We have on the ground experience in over 100 countries working for international broadcasters and newspapers, including the BBC, Sky, the Sunday Times of London and the Guardian. 


Founded by former BBC World Affairs Correspondent Navdip Dhariwal and the Multi award winning WRITER and Film Director Dan McDougall. 




Dan McDougall is a global Filmmaker and British Foreign Correspondent of the Year, an award he has been nominated for three-times. He recently won best director award at the Barcelona Film Festival for his film on climate change for Guardian Documentaries which also won best short film at The Munich Film Awards and The Stockholm Independent Film Festival. A former Journalist for The Guardian and BBC Panorama, Dan was The Sunday Times of London Africa Correspondent. He has won four Amnesty International Awards for Human Rights Reporting and is proud to be a Martha Gellhorn Prize Nominee for outstanding War Reporting for his journalism from over 120 countries. Dan is a Media Leader at WEF and a visiting lecturer at The University of Cambridge. Dan is represented by Luke Speed at Curtis Brown, London.


Navdip Dhariwal


Navdip is a former BBC World Affairs Correspondent and started her career in community radio before becoming the BBC's first British Asian correspondent based in Delhi. She presented current affairs series 4x4 and Hard Cash for BBC One and worked across TV and radio. 

She has reported on some of the most important stories of our times, including the Asian tsunami, the war in Afghanistan, the 7/7 London bombings, the death of Nelson Mandela and the Assassination of Benazir Bhutto. Navdip is an Asian Woman of achievement and a former Princes Trust Ambassador and now an ambassador supporting young people in work for Bristol based Babassa. 




Richard Bee, a BBC producer with 25 years experience making films which have been broadcast across the globe.

Richard has worked across factual and current affairs programs for channel 4, including Location Location and 4x4 reports as well as producing Live Question Air programming.


Pam Mangat

Executive Producer 

Pam Mangat is a former senior producer at the BBC she brings with her a proven track record in delivering engaging and authoritative journalism across BBC News programmes both in the UK and internationally including the award-winning documentary Malala's story.


Dewald Brand


Over the past few years, South African born Dewald has filmed in over 35 different countries for clients such as Nike, Red Bull, Tag Heuer, The Guardian, Uber, Maersk, Oxfam, and various others with Miran. His work has been showcased on TV, published in magazines, displayed in museums, used for in-store advertising as well as online. 


Carol Howell

Video editor

Carol Howell has worked for Miran films as a video editor for over three years. She is an award-winning editor, with a BA degree in Visual Studies from the University of Pretoria.

Luke Pallett 

Camera Director

Luke Pallett is a camera director born and raised in South Africa. This country informs much of his storytelling technique, which centres around intimate, human-driven narratives.
