Into the Blue
A film series for technology giant SAP across Africa. This film was shot in Morocco in the beautiful Blue town of Cefchouen. At times being a girl in rural Morocco can seem like an uphill struggle. In the remote Rif mountains poverty, illiteracy and unemployment is a generational blight, impacting the health of grandmothers, the prosperity of mothers and the dreams of daughters. In a poignant short film Miran tackles the issue of gender equality in a male dominated region for the global software firm SAP. The truth is years on from the Arab Spring - many North African nations face stagnant economic growth and high unemployment. This is especially true among young women. Broadband can radically change the socio-economic prospects for the region and contribute to higher growth and more importantly shared prosperity.
